Hi, I'm glad you dropped by. Remember, you can always find the latest news on my blog and my Yahoogroup.

BREAKING NEWS!!! COVER ME finalled in the 2008 EPPIE awards in the Contemporary Romance category! I am on the moon! Not only that, but PLAY HARD, written under my pseudonym Barrie Abalard, also finalled in Contemporary Erotic Romance. A double final really made my December!

The EPPIEs are awards given for best ebooks annually by EPIC. I plan to attend the conference in March, just in case I win. Woo-hoo!

Now that COVER ME has finalled in the EPPIEs, perhaps you'd like to read it. The latest review, from Lacey at Romance Junkies, awarded the book four blue ribbons. Lacey commented, "Written in the first person, Sunny’s perspective of her world engages the reader from beginning to end. Ms. Nelson’s unique voice and characterization shines through, giving the readers a very enjoyable story. I suggest adding COVER ME to your reading list today!"

(And, if you enjoy the hot stuff, be sure to join my Barrie Abalard Yahoogroup and check out my new paperback anthology, SIX-PACK.)

The November winner over at AuthorIsland was Carol M. in PA. She won a copy of COVER ME, plus a lovely throw to keep her warm. Congratulations to Carol!

Did you realize that I run most of my contests from my Yahoogroup? You've got to be in it to win it--in the Yahoogroup to win a contest, that is.  If you're not a member, join now.

Currently on my Yahoogroup, I have an excerpt posted from a work-in-progress, and I'm asking for reader feedback. The story is set in the Seventies, which is not supposed to be a popular time period for romances, but I'd like to know what YOU think. For giving me your opinion, you'll have a chance to win something nice, so, let your voice be heard.

Did you know that, on the Contest and Mailing List page, you can  request freebies--either a magnetized 2008 calendar or an autographed bookmark? Yup, you can. So get one--or both!

Winter seems dreary after the holidays end. I always feel a little colder and darker after I put away the holiday lights. It's a great time to curl up with some chocolate and a good book. I hope you enjoyed your holiday season, and that new delights await you in 2008!
